Pet Groomer

A Full Time opportunity has become available in our busy Wellington Grooming Salon for a Dog & Cat Groomer.

Successful applicants will be required to groom dogs and cats to a high standard.

Key Tasks
The key tasks involved in this are, wash, dry, comb, clip, trim and groom dogs and cats using knowledge of canine and feline characteristics and grooming techniques and styles.

Hours
Successful applicants will work for a total of 40 hours per week over 5 days.

Requirements:
1. New Zealand Dog Grooming Association Certification or currently undertaking the NZDGA course.
OR
2. Successful applicants would ideally need to have undertaken a recognised course in Pet Grooming, nationally or internationally and have gained certification.
OR
3. You have relevant Pet Grooming experience [prior learning] that you believe is equivalent to the above qualifications
AND CAN/
4. Demonstrate a minimum of 12 months continual employment in the pet grooming industry within the last 5 years.
AND
5. Provide References

6. Demonstrate a knowledge of NZKC Breed Standards.
